Woman stabbed to death in Greenwich, London

A woman has been stabbed to death in Greenwich, London while a "man fell from a height" according to reports.

There isn't a whole host of confirmed information available at present, but what we do know is that the incident is believed to have taken place at the Holiday Inn hotel in Greenwich, London.


As reported by the Daily Mirror, the emergency services were called to a Holiday Inn hotel in Greenwich at 10:02am. However the woman was sadly declared dead at the scene, before a man fell from a height and is currently fighting for his life in hospital.


Police reporting at the scene believe the man who 'fell from a height' is known to the deceased and are asking for witnesses to assist with the investigation. No-one else is believed to be involved in the incident, while the man is under guard at the hospital and will likely be questioned if he makes a recovery.


Twitter user Susan Mann posted a picture of the hotel which is in eye-shot of the o2 Arena, showing emergency service workers in attendance on the second floor.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to the Holiday Inn Bugsby's Way SE10 at 10:02hrs on Sunday, July 5 to a report of a woman stabbed.


"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a woman was found suffering serious injuries. She was declared dead at the scene.


"Formal identification awaits. Police are working to inform next of kin.


"While attending the incident, a man believed to be known to the woman, fell from height.


"He was taken to hospital, where he remains under the guard of officers. His condition is being treated as life-threatening.


"At this early stage, officers believe no one else is involved in the incident."
