In a world where men steal flip flops to make love to them, Liverpool have won the Premier League and Kanye West is running for President of the United States of America, there's nothing more that can happen to surprise us.
Well, we're wrong, because a British pub in Cornwall has installed an electric fence to make sure customers are social distancing to help stop the spread of coronavirus and prevent a second lockdown occuring.
The Star Inn in Cornwall has installed an electric fence at the bar in a bid to keep both customers and staff safe and stop the spread of coronavirus, which can be spread when people are in close contact.

Jonny McFadden, who is landlord of the Star Inn, explained the pub has limited space.
As reported by the BBC, Mr McFadden described the barrier - which is used by farmers to stop cattle from escaping their field and to prevent intruders coming in, in the normal world - as "just a normal electric fence that you would find in a field".
When asked if the fence was powered on, Mr. McFadden jibed: "Come and find out - there is a fear factor and it works."
The pub landlord justified his installation by explaining that he struggled to enforce social distancing because:"when you serve people a drink they change".
McFadden used the psychological edge to keep people at bay, saying: "people keep away from it, people are like sheep.
"They know it is a fence and don't want to touch it to find out whether it is on or not." he added.
Apparently, the fence has been a source of humour in the local area, and that customers liked the idea of it.

However, the pubs insurance broker raised concern. Jonny told reporters that
"He was a bit worried but then that is what he is there for," he said.
"He rang a nephew of mine and said 'I hope he is not electrocuting people'.
"Well come and find out if I am."
