Teenagers often get a tough time from the older generations and the media due to knife crime, rising obesity, 'easier exams' and more.
But these clever sods have been applauded by some for their cheeky and genius use of the coronavirus face coverings to their (albeit law breaking) advantage.
First reported by LadBible, underage teenagers in America have been dressing as old women with face coverings to avoid being asked for ID in shops to purchase alcohol and it's taken social media site TikTok by storm with British teenagers beginning to try their luck themselves.
It's worth noting that in America the legal drinking age is much higher than the UK, one of many things that the UK betters America at.
This new trend was immortalised by Will McKenzie in the Inbetweeners back in '08 when he dressed in a suit to buy alcohol from a local shop when the boys bunked off school. Something we've all done either in a shop or pub underage.

One teen who had successfully purchased alcohol underage wrote: "Now that we have to wear masks, this is the best time to buy alcohol with a fake ID since the early 80s..."
Another added "PSA: use your fakes as much as possible because if you wear a mask they can't see your whole face."
The trend has been noted to follow the #AlcoholChallenge hashtag on social media. May be worth keeping an eye on a rise in old people where you live incase the trend goes global.
